Emily studied Economics at the University of Durham before beginning her career as an Executive Assistant at global publishing house HarperCollins, supporting the then Executive Team under Victoria Barnsley OBE. She was later approached to work with the Founder and Chairman of a major social-impact trust dedicated to transforming the lives of thousands of young people through education across the UK, a role to which she was committed for over a decade.
More recently, Emily supported internationally recognised barrister Sharif A. Shivji KC in his many interests across the legal profession, including his role as Chairman of Advocate, the UK’s legal pro bono charity, working closely with CEO Rebecca Wilkie. Having recently completed the University of Cambridge’s short course on Sustainable Value Chains, Emily has now joined Lake Advisory, where she supports the team in smoothing out the day-to-day running of the office as well as managing ongoing projects and events.
